@Supablonde1 Not to be rude, as I am protestant butttt the idea of it is pretty corny. Plus getting carried away leaves tons of adventures…It’s like that song by kesha called “the harold song” about he old boyfriend. She says in the lyrics “remember the the time we jumped the fence when the stones were playing and we were to broke to get in, you held my hand and they made me crawl, I swore to God it was the best night of my life”. THAT my friend, only happens with exciting love.

@KathrynHughesBass I was 28 when i courted and i too had a chaperone(as i too am a christian),its normal to get heated up and get carried away with yourself and anything could happen. I think its a great idea,just think if everybody did it there wouldn’t be as many 16yr olds having babies!!!!
@kinli1 Good observation!!! i do that also with my wedding ring as the skin underneath becomes sore and itchy from washing up and the moisture irritates the skin by rubbing against the ring. After my finger heals i switch back!!! and i guess Michelle’s hands are ALWAYS in the water!!!

According to Josh, he wanted to marry her after just meeting Anna. I find that strange. I mean, how can you know someone well enough after some brief meeting? I understand (though I don’t agree with) their standards, but even by their strict standards, I don’t see how it’s inappropriate to talk with someone and maybe go on several outings before deciding to court.
Just to everyone who disagrees with the Duggars actions and beliefs: I think everyone has the right to their own opinion, however, when you write things that are very negative and discouraging to others (like swearing and being belligerent with your opinions) it tends to turn people off to your views. If you’re able to express yourself with gentleness and kindness, people are more likely to consider what you have to say.

There was as much contact between Josh and Anna before they were married/during the proposal as there was between Anna and Josh’s grandfather when they greeted each other. Wow.
